PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A new trend is taking over the food industry.

It's called food porn. It's when you take a picture of your food and then post it to Facebook.

"Food porn is food that's so decadent that it creates a specific set of emotions."

"It's on your phone. Just one click and it's already on Facebook."

Food publicist Peter Breslow says this slang term in the food industry has taken off in the past year.

"This trend started to happen; I found out because I guess I'm a food pornographer that people were following me on Facebook and Twitter to actually see what I was going to post next!"

Folks say the term has gained popularity as more are more people use their smart phones to post photos of their meals.

"You know, as we desensitize ourselves all the time it becomes less of a taboo saying."
