February 2013 is a time to commemorate and connect with the African-
American community through “Voices of Leadership”.
“Voices” is a series of stories told by Pittsburgh African-American leaders
and employee representatives.
The stories present Relevant concerns of today, issues of the past and
preservation of stories of struggles and successes.
We hope “Voices Of Leadership” will:
- Share, teach and help us as a community to preserve Pittsburgher’s stories,
struggles and success through faith, hope and strength.
– Portray African-American Leader’s unique and personal ingenuity in overcoming
obstacles via lessons from the past as well as what Black History Month means to
them.
– Use each Leader’s testimony to inspire, sustain and empower the youth of today.
