Wearable Spring Trends Straight From the Runway

I always hear that saying, "that look was all over the runways this season." And while I am fully aware that the trends come straight from the runway, most of the looks that are on the runways are not for the everyday women. Even the ready-to-wear runway show's clothing is usually not wearable. So for the upcoming Spring season I wanted to find runway looks that are wearable. I also wanted to make it as simple as possible by putting the trends into categories and then giving you examples of how that trend was worn on the runway. Before you know you'll be the one saying, "that look was all over the Spring runways."

The all white look may require careful eating and drinking, but when it's pulled off it can look really classy. My advice is to find a color white that works best with your skin-tone and then pair your outfit with minimal accessories and neutral shoes and bag.

Trend: Bold Print

Adding just one bold print to a somewhat plain outfit turns an outfit from ordinary to extraordinary. Try and keep the rest of your outfit pretty simple.

Floral is the ultimate spring-time pattern. No matter what your mood, if you put on a pair of yellow floral pants, you are rendered unable to frown. Seriously try it. :)

Trend: Monochrome

1. Elle Saab   2. J. Crew   3. Banana Republic

I have been a fan of the monochromatic look since I started seeing it last Fall. It takes matchy-matchy to a whole new level, but for some reason it just works. My favorite look from above is the blue shorts-suit with the matching bag and stilettos. It looks effortless, although we all know that's not the case.

Trend: Stripes

1. Banana Republic   2. Juicy Couture   3. Banana Republic

I have always been a fan of stripes. So when I saw stripes all over the runways I was elated. The girl in the middle totally looks like a cross between an inmate and a classy business women. I'm not sure that everyone could pull of that look, but luckily there are many other ways you can wear this new trend.

Trend: Black and White

You may have noticed if you have watched any of the award shows that white and black have been everywhere. On the runways the two contrast colors were combined.

Trend: Classic

1. Tom Ford   2. Nina Ricci   3. Rachel Roy

These classic looks are some of my new favorite looks out of everything that I saw on the runways for Spring 2013. The pink pants-suit with the bold blue shirt is to die for, I would wear a version of that suit everyday if I could. I also really love the all black outfit, but I'll need a few more weeks/months/years on my diet before I could make that particular look work for me, but I do love it.

Trend: Bright Yellow

What better way to stand out than wearing yellow from head-to-toe? Note to wallflowers: Don't try this trend.

Have you been wearing any of these trends? Which ones are the easier to replicate?
