Washington County Restaurant Week

It's that time of year again! The time where Washington County will highlight their premier dining destinations to show off the county's food, restaurants, and award-winning chefs. Hosted by the Washington County Tourism and Promotion Agency, the 2016 Washington County Restaurant Week is held from Monday, March 7, 2016 to Sunday, March 13, 2016.

Don't want to wait that long? To kick-off Washington County Restaurant Week, The Meadows Casino will feature a "Chef's Best Dish" competition on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample food prepared by Washington County's finest chefs that will conclude with a vote on Washington County's "Best Dish."

Kristin Butterworth, Chef de Cuisine of Lautrec at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, will make an appearance at the kick-off event and be there to mediate the competition. Lautrec Restaurant is a Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five Diamond European influenced restaurant where Kristin showcases her passions and the local farms and purveyors to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience. While at Lautrec, Kristin has been a featured Chef at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City twice and has recieved the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond awards for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Kristin is the youngest female chef at the helm of a Forbes Five Diamond and AAA Five Diamond restaurant.
