Steel City Con April 2016
The Pittsburgh's CW Green Team had a blast returning to Steel City Con, which was held the weekend of April 15-17th. Steel City Con is the exclusive comic con of the Monroeville Convention Center, one of the largest comic cons in the United States. This event includes vendors featuring various pop culture items and collectibles, as well as diverse artwork in the Artist Alley. Attendees could also participate in the Steel City Con's cosplay, trivia contest and costume contests.
Guests were also able to meet TV and film celebrities along with celebrity Q & A's, panels, celebrity photo ops, and the Artist Charity Quick Sketch. Some of the celebrities this year included wrestler Mick Foley, Barbara Eden from "I Dream of Jeannie", Terry Kiser from "Weekend at Bernie's", Shannen Doherty from "Beverly Hills 90210", Holly Marie Combs from "Charmed", David Prowse who played the original Darth Vader, and Anthony Daniels as CP30. Tony Todd, who does the voice of Zoom on the CW's The Flash, was also in attendance!
The Pittsburgh's CW Green Team booth was a popular one, as attendees were given the chance to spin the CW Prize Wheel for some cool swag featuring popular CW shows like The Flash, Arrow, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Five lucky winners also won tickets to the Carnegie Museum to see the new exhibit "Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs". We even had quite a few CW characters stop by the booth!
