Walk MS Pittsburgh 4/17/16

Walk MS Pittsburgh 2016 highlight video, including interviews with sponsors Michael Gallup (TeleTracking Technologies Inc.) and Jay Fye (Texas Road House).

On April 17th, nearly 4,000 people gathered together early on a beautiful Sunday morning to participate in Walk MS at Point State Park!  Walk MS connects friends, loved ones and co-workers to help give hope to everyone impacted by MS.  Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.  The National Multiple Sclerosis Society organizes these fundraisers to help support local programs and services for those who need it most, including those affected by our Pennsylvania Keystone Chapter.  Funds raised also contribute to research aimed at finding better treatments and a cure for MS.  To date, this year's walk raised over $353,000!

Before the walk, various organizations had tents set up with information and giveaways.  Chelsea and Daisy from Pittsburgh's CW Green Team ran a cornhole game so that attendees could win some cool CW prizes.  KDKA's Ken Rice emceed the event and kicked off the walk at 9am.  After the walk, participants enjoyed a free lunch prepared by Texas Roadhouse and Rita's Italian Ice, along with some other freebies provided by the local sponsors.

It was a gorgeous day for #WalkMS, and Pittsburgh's CW Green Team was honored to be a part of this fantastic event!
