The 69th Cannes Film Festival Surprises With Performance By Justin Timberlake And Anna Kendrick

By Valerye Griffin

Each year, the acclaimed Cannes Film Festival brings together Hollywood's elite to premiere select films prior to public release. This year, the festival spans over twelve days featuring a wide variety of works including the festival's opening film, Café Society, the latest from director Woody Allen.

While the Cannes Film festival is known for premiering movies such as Taxi Driver, Pulp Fiction, and Mad Max: Fury Road, the surprise duet from Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick will likely be a highlight this year. The duo sang a charming, acoustic rendition of Cyndi Lauper's 1986 hit, True Colors. The performance was to promote the upcoming DreamWorks animation film, Trolls. Timberlake and Kendrick are both voicing characters in Trolls which has a planned release of November 4th.
