21 Jump Street Review

By Charles, Pittsburgh's CW Green Team
I'm always a bit skeptical when I see movie trailers. Especially when it's a rehash of something from back in the day. When I saw the 21 Jump Street trailer I brushed it off immediately.  Did you do the same thing too? Don't lie you probably did.

Here's the thing I kept hearing good reviews of it over and over again. So finally I gave it a shot and I'll tell you this...Go see it now! Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are perfect opposites in this tale of two irresponsible cops who should have never been allowed to uphold the law in the first place.

Their negligent police work gets them kicked out of the force and into a secret police subdivision that goes incognito at high-schools. Hence the name 21 Jump Street!

Tatum and Hill 's mission is to pose as brothers at a high-school looking to bust an undercover drug ring.
While in high school their undercover roles are reversed and Tatum is placed in the AP courses and Hill is supposedly an amazing athlete. Tatum learns the realities of being a nerd and Hill becomes one of the popular kids.

I won't ruin the plot for you but to say the least they get a little too deep in their new identities while trying to bring down "the bad guys." Hill can't accept the fact that his popularity is just a facade and he faces a pivotal plot dilemma.

A great escapism movie that will certainly make you LOL quite a few times. Its Rated-R and it uses that rating to its advantage. It's raunchy, crude and absurd and for that I give it a 7 out of 10.
