Hockey players are prone to superstition, and the players attribute their 5-0 record against the Penguins when playing in Pittsburgh to the fact that they have eaten those ribs after all five games. To them, they believe it’s a ritual that guarantees a win.READ MORE: FAN N'ATION: Returning April 17
For the last regular season game, the Flyers play the Penguins in Pittsburgh. Dewey Guida, owner of DeeJay’s, says he won’t be selling any ribs to the Flyers; partly because he’s a huge Penguins fan, and partly because he’ll be closed the next day for Easter and can’t make the ribs.
