Beauty Secrets You Need to Know

Ask any of my friends and they will tell you, I am the first person to shout from the roof-tops any beauty secrets that I know and use. However I realized that I have never written about any of my secrets on this blog. Since that's not very neighborly of me I figured I fill you guys in on some of my favorite beauty secrets. Hope you like them!

Vaseline/Carmex on shoes that rub  |   Apply the Vaseline to your skin.

We all have that pair of shoes that we love, but we can't wear them because they rub in the back, or on the sides. The best way to fix this is to add some vasoline (I use carmex) and apply it to the area that's rubbing.

Baby Powder for oily hair    |    Put baby powder on the brush and brush it through the roots of your hair.

A lot of people have spent too much money on dry shampoos and there is really no reason. All you need is an $.89 bottle of baby powder. Just make sure it's blended well in your hair and you're good to go. I seriously use this trick every other day.

Clear mascara to keep eye brows tame    |    This is a trick I use everyday... it's magical.

I've heard about people using old mascara wands and hairspray, but this trick seems to be much easier. I color in my eyebrows first and then add the clear mascara.

Mix brown sugar and honey to exfoliate your skin    |    Exfoliating your face is important for good overall skin care.

All you need is a few ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. Just mix the honey and brown sugar in a bowl. I recommend using a bit of water when scrubbing your face. Use once a week for best results. Don't be surprised if you like the taste. :)

Hint: Microwave the honey before trying to mix.

Use corn starch to set your make-up   |   I have extremely oily skin and this definitely helps.

Apply all your make-up and finish off the look with a puff of corn starch.

Use a spoon on puffy eyes    |   A frozen spoon.

Put a spoon in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Take it out and cover the circles with it. Hold it there until the spoon is warm again.
