The Pittsburgh Penguins will begin the 2016-2017 preseason on the road against the Detroit Red Wings at 7:30pm on Tuesday September 27th and the Chicago Blackhawks at 8:30pm on September 28th.

They will be back in Pittsburgh on Friday, September 30th when they host the Chicago Blackhawks, a game that will be broadcast on Pittsburgh’s CW.

Another preseason game, Sunday October 2, will also be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW.

The October 8 matinee against Columbus will be the sixth annual ‘Free Game for Kids.’ All 18,000-plus tickets for that afternoon will again be distributed to local youth hockey teams and other youth organizations throughout the region.
