Allegheny County Offers Christmas Tree Recycling Program

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — While you aren't quite through with it yet, when Christmas is over, plenty of people start clamoring to get that tree out of the house.

Allegheny County is once again offering its annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program this holiday season.

You can drop the tree off beginning Monday 12/26 at all nine regional parks during regular hours of operation (dawn to dusk).

Following are the drop-off locations:

  • Boyce Park Parking lot by the wave pool
  • Deer Lakes Park Parking lot by the Veterans 2 Shelter
  • Harrison Hills Park Parking lot at the intersection of Chipmunk & Cottontail Drive
  • Hartwood Acres Park Parking lot at the mansion
  • North Park Parking lot at the swimming pool
  • Round Hill Park Parking lot past spray park, between Meadow & Alfalfa Shelters
  • Settlers Cabin Park Parking lot by the wave pool
  • South Park Parking lot at the wave pool
  • White Oak Park Parking lot by the Poplar 1 Shelter
